A care support company in London is seeking a part-time companion to assist a young woman with specific needs. The role includes promoting mental and physical health, organising outings, and supporting cognitive development. Ideal candidates are resourceful and adaptable, with ongoing training provided. Pay is £18.00 per hour on weekdays and £19.00 on weekends.
Location: London NW6
Days & Hours: 16 hours per week (Monday 11.00am – 6.00pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 4.30pm – 7.30pm)
Pay: £18.00 per hour weekdays, £19.00 per hour weekends

L was diagnosed with global developmental delay after birth. Later, following a group B streptococcal sepsis with multiorgan failure, L required above knee amputation of the left leg and below knee amputation of the right leg. L’s main means of mobility, both indoors and outdoors is a manual wheelchair.
Working with L offers a unique opportunity to gain experience, and would suit a person interested in the intersections of special educational needs and disabilities, traumatic injuries, and mental health.
