Role will involve all personal & domestic care, as well as supporting the client to attend and participate in a wide range of activities, including attending the gym / boxing, as well as supporting the client to care for her cat and dog. The client completes head painting and runs regular market stalls, and the support worker will need to assist with these.

Purpose
To work as part of a team providing support and care for the client ensuring safety and physical wellbeing. To facilitate the client’s independence by adopting the appropriate approach as advised by the case manager.

About the Client:

The client is a 33-year-old lady with cerebral palsy. She is a bright and fun-loving individual who is very determined to live a fun and active lifestyle. She lives with her husband, cat, and dog and likes to live a full and active lifestyle and be involved in daily activities.
She is dependent on one other person to support her mobility indoors; outdoors she is reliant on a powered wheelchair that she is able to operate independently. She requires support with all aspects of personal care, eating/drinking, and is dependent on others for all domestic tasks. She is able to communicate her own needs verbally and is always happy to repeat herself if not understood the first time. She is a passionate artist, completing head painting, and regularly runs market stalls within the South Wales area with full support.
