Job summary
This is a role as a Female Support Worker at The Chimneys Clinic in Bury St Edmunds, which is a 12-bedded service providing specialist care to support women with an emerging or personality disorder. Main duties of the job
As a Female Support Worker, you will use your knowledge, experience, and caring nature to make a positive difference to the lives of women with an emerging or personality disorder. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ward rounds, analyzing behaviors, and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. The role requires a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance, as it can be a challenging environment at times. However, it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you've made someone's life better.

What you will be doing:

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.
If you have a driving license, you may be asked to drive for the service.
The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends. 37.5 hours per week.

You will be working at The Chimneys Clinic, a 12-bed service providing specialist care specifically designed to support women diagnosed with an emerging or personality disorder.
Working alongside the multidisciplinary team at The Chimneys, you will support mindful practice, high levels of engagement, and think on your feet to create activities that aid recovery for each woman within their journey.
The focus of the service is to enable women to work on ways to decrease harmful behaviors and replace them with effective strategies to enhance their lives and help them reach their personal goals.
