Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

In this service in Ardersier, you will support a young lady to live independently in her own home and will be prepared to support and enable her to do all the things any young adult would be doing on a day-to-day basis. The person we support is an outgoing individual who enjoys the company of others.

As a Support Worker, you will support with social aspects of living as well as the day-to-day intimate personal care, household tasks and moving and positioning tasks. This young lady uses a wheelchair to mobilise.

Living with life-changing injuries isn't always easy, but it helps if you have a staff team who are understanding, supportive and respectful, and that’s where you come in! As part of your role, you will receive comprehensive training in order to carry out specialist care tasks.

Applicants must have a fun and positive attitude and like cats and big dogs.

We are currently recruiting for a Female Support Worker for a 15.5-hour Support Worker post.

This would involve working every Sunday from 9.30 am until 10 am on Monday and includes a sleepover.

Due to the needs of the lady we support, a full UK driving license is required as you will be driving her own vehicle.

The lady we support currently lives in Inverness but will relocate to a new property in Ardersier within the next 2 months, so the ability to travel to Inverness until then is very important.

Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act.
