We are seeking an experienced *Female Support Worker to support individuals with acquired neurological damage, brain and spinal cord injuries, in a domiciliary setting. Our mission is to empower clients to reach their full potential and enrich their lifestyles through a comprehensive, client-focused service.
Note: Due to a genuine occupational requirement, this role is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9, and we are recruiting females only.
We support a young girl who has a brain injury at birth. She is highly dependent, requiring full assistance with personal care and daily activities. She has a gastrostomy, a permanent tracheostomy needing regular suctioning, and controlled epilepsy. She attends specialist education and enjoys community outings in her adapted vehicle. She lives with her family in Cheshire, with plans to move to her forever home and share custody with her parents, requiring support at two locations.
The care package involves a 24-hour plan with a 2:1 ratio during the day and a 1:1 wake carer at night, with a current team of 8 members.
You will cover all hours (24/7) in rotation, including holidays and sickness periods. Motivated and enthusiastic females committed to promoting independence are required. You will develop your skills while delivering care in a family or individual’s home, supporting health and well-being in collaboration with the team.
The role requires independence, teamwork, reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness.
