Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is expanding its Dumbarton team and seeks a dedicated Support Practitioner to work in clients' homes. This full-time position (39 hours weekly) offers value-based recruitment with funded SVQ training and a clear pathway to professional growth.

You will help individuals manage daily living, finances, and personal care, while promoting social engagement and hobbies in a supportive environment.

Our team is recruiting for a motivated *female colleague with a positive attitude to join them as a Support Practitioner on a full-time, permanent basis (39 hours per week).

You don't need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We’ll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Support Practitioner including a fully funded SVQ.

The Role

Based in Dumbarton, our dedicated team provide person centred support to individuals living in their own homes with diverse needs, including mental health challenges, learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, addictions and past trauma.

As a Support Practitioner you will assist with all aspects of daily living including meal preparation, medication, going to appointments and activities, managing personal finances, support with moving and handling and personal care. We’re looking for someone who’s ready to take an active interest in the hobbies and passions of those we support. Whether it’s discovering new opportunities, encouraging social connections, learning new skills or reducing isolation, you’ll help individuals lead the lives they choose.

To be an amazing Support Practitioner, we’ll need you to:

Shift Patterns:

Early shifts start from 7:30am and back shifts can finish at 9pm or 10pm depending on the needs of the supported individual. These roles include working weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
