The Richmond Fellowship Scotland in Kirkcaldy, Fife is seeking a female Support Practitioner to assist service users with learning disabilities and mental health needs. You will work in clients' homes across Scotland as part of a dedicated team.
We require a compassionate, observant communicator with good computer skills who can work well alone and in a team. The role involves caring responsibilities and a willingness to learn moving and handling and peg feeding where required.

Due to having recently acquired a new package, weare on the lookout for a compassionate and creative individualwith a positive attitude to join usas Support Practitioner, based in Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes.
Due to the nature of this role, we can only accept applications from female candidates that hold a full UK manual driving licence.
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland provides personalised and outcome-focused support to over 2800 individuals in their own homes across Scotland, making us the country's largest provider of social care. We support individuals with a variety of different needs such as physical and/or learning disabilities, ongoing mental health issues, alcohol or substance abuse, autism and individuals who have been part of the criminal justice system. Some of the people we support can present challenging behavior or require a high level of personal care.
This role will involve supporting service users with learning disabilities and mental health, a couple of service users who have been involved with the criminal justice service and an individual with muscular dystrophy who requires tracheotomy care. Past experience with moving and handling and peg feeding is desirable or a willingness to learn.
Working five days per week, including two weekends per month. The shift times are 8am-6pm with occasional backshifts on Fridays and Saturdays.

All successful Support Practitioner applicants will be given a conditional offer - this is subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and PVG. Having a conviction will not necessarily debar you from working in this sector. All new staff members will be required to register with the SSSC within 3 months of their start date.
