Libertatem Healthcare is seeking experienced Female Support Workers to work with a spinal injury client in Middlesbrough. The client requires full support with Moving and Handling, Personal Care, and Social activities.

The support involves 3 shifts per week, full-time hours, including alternate weekends, from 1800 to 1200 the following day.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting independence and rehabilitation
  • Providing personalized, sensitive, and confidential support per care plans
  • Understanding and following care plans, consulting healthcare professionals as needed
  • Participating in care plan reviews
  • Working professionally with multidisciplinary teams
  • Promoting self-care and self-management
  • Assisting with mobility, feeding, washing, bathing, and dressing
  • Managing neurogenic bladder and bowel care
  • Supporting domestic tasks, meal prep, shopping, and appointments
  • Providing emotional support
  • Using moving and handling equipment safely
  • Monitoring skin integrity and health status
  • Administering medication as per plan
  • Supporting rehabilitation activities
  • Responding to health changes and ensuring safety
  • Respecting cultural and individual differences
  • Documenting progress and changes accurately

An enhanced DBS check and full training will be provided. Support from a clinical lead nurse is available. Weekly pay is offered. Double Covid vaccination may be mandatory depending on client needs.
