Job description

Female Relief Support Worker - Kettering

We are looking to recruit passionate Relief Support Workers to join our dedicated team in the Corby Area.

Do you want to make a positive difference in people’s lives? Support work offers flexibility for those who find it difficult to commit to full or part-time roles. As a Relief Support Worker, you can choose shifts based on your availability and the needs of the service.

Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work various shifts across weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleep-ins, and waking nights. A positive mindset and a desire to improve the lives of individuals with learning disabilities are crucial. You should be quick-thinking and have a can-do attitude.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Supporting individuals to live independently through tasks like budget management, paying bills, housework, organizing appointments, and cooking healthy meals.
  • Building relationships to help individuals understand their environment and promoting positive relationships.
  • Supporting community and social inclusion by encouraging participation in local events and promoting life skills and individuality.
  • Assisting with personal care, including prompting medication, bathing, showering, and bathroom use. Not all roles require high levels of personal care.
