About the Role

As a Female Relief Support Worker, you’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive team helping individuals in their own homes and in the community. This is a relief role, ideal for someone flexible, motivated, and able to work independently.

You’ll support people with a variety of needs, helping them live as independently as possible. This includes:

  • Supporting with budgeting and managing finances
  • Helping individuals stay socially connected through visits to friends and family
  • Encouraging involvement in community activities (e.g. cinema, swimming, bowling, clubs)
  • Accompanying walks and swimming sessions (you’ll need to enjoy being active and outdoors in all weathers)

Please note: This is a lone-working position, so you'll need to be confident and quick to adapt. Full training and shadow shifts will be provided.

Shift Pattern & Hours

This is a flexible relief role, covering a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and night shifts.

  • Early shifts start at 8:00 AM

Training will include shadowing experienced staff to help you settle into your role confidently.

Who We're Looking For

  • A positive, proactive approach and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently
  • Previous experience is desirable, but not essential—full training provided
  • Must be comfortable with walking and swimming regularly
  • Must be able to travel to and work in Portlethen and the wider Aberdeenshire area
