I’m a 61-year-old lady who sustained an acquired brain injury which has affected my mobility and my communication. I live alone and am very independent, but I need some help with jobs around my home and in accessing the community. I have some physical difficulties but manage well. I communicate verbally providing you give me the time I need to express myself, but I do need you to support my communication.

I use a wheelchair within the home and an attendant propelled wheelchair in the community, but I can transfer myself into the chair. I love music, rugby and have a small dog who is very important in my life. I enjoy the company of others, have a good sense of humour, enjoy going out into the community and going shopping. Most importantly, you will support me with some domestic tasks and managing my home as well as supporting me to attend appointments and some local social activities.
