We have a rewarding opportunity for a Female* Recovery Navigator to join our Community Rehabilitation Team based in Bristol. This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week, with a competitive salary of £25,359 - £27,449 per annum, plus benefits.

About The Role

As our Recovery Navigator, you will focus on providing appropriate, effective interventions and treatments to individuals with long-term mental health needs, their carers, friends, relatives, and supporters in the community. Your role is to enable and assist them in meeting daily health, social care, and wellbeing needs, aligned with their personal recovery goals, and to facilitate engagement with mainstream services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Build trusting and collaborative relationships with service users.
  • Co-produce, implement, and review recovery plans, crisis plans, and other self-management tools, e.g., Wellness Recovery Action Plan.
  • Case manage and coordinate support, liaising effectively with all involved professionals and agencies to deliver the support package. Work closely with colleagues and build strong partnerships with other agencies such as health, social care, and voluntary services. Support service users in accessing services.
  • Identify, assess, contribute to, maintain, and manage risk to ensure safety, using a positive risk-taking approach, and adhering to safeguarding policies.
  • Provide specialist support to women and guidance to team members regarding women's mental health issues.
  • Offer specialist support and screening related to domestic abuse and sexual violence, advising on pathways into relevant services.
  • Participate in supervision and reflective practice, seeking advice and support proactively.
  • Promote service user involvement and inclusion within the service and community.
  • Contribute to project work, development initiatives, and policy implementation with guidance from management.
  • Maintain hope and optimism for individuals, using lived experience (if appropriate) to support recovery.
Ideal Candidate
  • Numeracy and literacy at GCSE level/NVQ 2 or equivalent
  • IT skills including document creation, email, and internet use
  • Knowledge of support needs of individuals with mental health needs
  • Understanding of equal opportunities, health and safety, safeguarding policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of working with vulnerable women and victims of domestic abuse/sexual violence

  • Valid driver’s license and access to transportation (desirable)
