Female Primary/Secondary Quranic/Islamic Studies Teacher - Part TimeWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary & Secondary Quranic/Islamic Studies Teacher
to deliver our Quranic/Islamic lessons for students in primary and secondary. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to the memorisation and correct recitation of the Qur’an, and a passion for nurturing young learners in their spiritual and academic growth.Key Responsibilities:- Deliver daily Quranic/Islamic Studies lessons in accordance with the school’s structured reading plan.
- Support students in their new reading (sabaq), revision (dowr), and ongoing review (sabaq para) targets.
- Monitor individual student progress closely and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain accurate records of each student's memorisation, revision, and retention.
- Develop and implement strategies for encouraging consistency, motivation, and discipline among students.
- Liaise with parents regularly through Quranic/Islamic Studies diaries, meetings, and informal updates.
- Participate in termly assessments and reviews to evaluate student progress.
- Support the spiritual and moral development of students in alignment with Islamic values.
- Work collaboratively with school leadership and the wider Islamic Studies team.
Qualifications & Experience:- Proven experience teaching Quranic/Islamic Studies to children, preferably in a structured school or masjid environment.
- Ijāzah or Sanad in Qur’an memorisation and/or Tajwīd is highly desirable.
- Strong command of Tajwīd and the ability to correct students’ recitation.
- Experience working with primary-aged children in an educational setting.
- Excellent classroom management and pastoral care skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

About the SchoolQuwwat-Ul-Islam Girls’ School was established in August 2003 and is located behind Quwwat-ul-Islam Masjid (Upton Lane, E7). Initially, the school enrolled just fifty pupils however over time, by the Grace of Allah, the school expanded and has gone from strength to strength.
