Job description

Hours: 3 hours per week during term time and 5 hours per week during school holidays, including weekends. Flexibility required. Hours to be discussed.

Area: Kenton, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Rate: £14.00 per hour

Sarah, a young girl with autism and rare genetic abnormalities, lives in Kenton with her family. She enjoys various activities such as trampolining, playing on swings and see-saws, swimming, and engaging with picture puzzles. She has strong physical abilities and a good memory, and she is an audio-visual learner with sensory needs.

Sarah's family often visits relatives in Frankfurt, Germany, during the summer holidays, particularly enjoying water parks and Centre Parcs, which are sensory activities she loves.

The role involves accompanying Sarah to her activities, ensuring her safety and well-being, and encouraging her to participate with patience and kindness.

There is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be female/male in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and the Equality Act 2010.
