Job Purpose I am looking for a female Personal Assistant to support me in my home and in the community. I have been diagnosed with chronic health conditions which affect my mobility. I also have autism and anxiety which affect my confidence. I live with my 17 year old son, who has additional needs.Ideally you will help me with planning, shopping for and preparing healthy meals. I require some help to keep my home clean and tidy and to organise and keep on top of finances and paperwork. I sometimes need prompting with personal care and may require assistance with this on occasions. Due to my health conditions, I sometimes find it hard to meet my physical health goals and would like support to do this. I would like help accessing the community and would love to find some groups of people with similar conditions to me. I also enjoy arts and crafts.Location: Blofield, NR13Details:· Meal planning and preparation.· Prompting and support with personal care.· Support with maintaining physical health goals.· Support to access the community and local groups.· Some cleaning and tidying.· Support with organising the home.· Pushing my manual wheelchair when I need to use it.Personal Specification: Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. Assessment of these, both on application and at the interview, will be the main factor in determining your success.Essential:· Friendly, caring and patient.· Reliable, trustworthy and confidential.· Animal lover – we have 3 cats and 2 dogs.· Experience with adults and children with autism.· Female carers only, due to the personal care element.Desirable:· Full clean driving licenceSummary Terms and Conditions- The rate of pay for this position is £13 per hour.- Hours and times of work as follows: 6 hours per week ideally worked over 2 or 3 days (days and times to be discussed at interview).- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.- Access to free Care Skills training for employer workers.- If this job requires; Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual training.- You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.The post is subject to the following:- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.- Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
