Job summary

Kingston Centre For Independent Living is seeking a part-time female personal assistant to support a client at home in Croydon on a rota with another PA.

The role includes personal care, mobility assistance and light domestic tasks, with full training provided.

Waking night cover from 23:00 to 06:00 is paid at £70; the post is maternity cover until September 2027 with a start date as soon as possible. Flexibility with rota and weekends is required.

• Experience in personal care including washing, dressing and incontinence care.
• Willingness to undergo full training provided.
• Ability to assist with mobility and transfers using equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: washing, dressing, incontinence care, wound dressing, mobility and manual handling.
• Light housekeeping: cleaning, laundry and occasional meal preparation.
• Run errands: light shopping and prescription collection.
• Manage rota and weekend coverage; 11pm–6am night shift paid at £70.

Job Opportunity

A part-time female PA is required to work with me in my home in Croydon, on rotation with another PA. This is maternity cover until September 2027, with a start date as soon as possible.

I have limited mobility and use a wheelchair, so I am looking for a reliable and caring person to support me with personal care, including washing, dressing and incontinence care, wound dressing, mobility and manual handling.

The role also includes light cleaning, laundry, occasional meal preparation, light shopping and prescription collection.

Hours are Monday to Friday, working 3 or 4 days per week alternately, from 9.00am to 7.00pm, plus alternate weekends from 9am to 7pm.

Waking night/sleep-in cover is 11pm to 6am, paid at £70. Some flexibility with the rota can be discussed.

Equipment in my home includes a shower chair, Molift Turner, electric standing hoist, walking frame, ceiling hoist, electric wheelchair and sliding/turning sheets. Transfers are carried out using the sit-to-stand turner or ceiling hoist as required.

Care experience is preferred, although full training will be provided.
