Hours: 36 hours per week – Rolling rota to include weekends and waking nights – 12 hours shifts – 3 posts available
Rate of Pay: £17.23 per hour
Main Role:
To support a physically disabled Biology graduate to live as independently as possible, beginning in the family home with a view to moving into her own home in the future. You will work as part of a 24 hour care team with 12 hour shifts including waking overnights.
Job role:
Includes meal preparation, medication administration, application of braces to several joints & personal care, as well as enabling the employer to participate in all aspects of daily life. This includes regular social activities (concerts, cinema & nights out), attending hospital appointments & work placements within local primary schools in preparation for doing teaching qualifications in the future.
Must have:
The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.
Candidates must be non-smokersdue to medical reasons and life-threatening allergy to cigarette smoke.
You must be reliable, trustworthy & professional attitude & be able to follow instructions & protocols.
Contracted hours will be as follows:
Block 12hr Shifts 8-8,must be flexible and willing to cover sickness and holidayswithin the team to ensure employers care needs are met at all times, as follows:
Post 1. Monday & Tuesday dayshift (8:00-20:00) Saturday nightshift (20:00-8:00)
Post 3. Sunday dayshift (08:00-20:00) Thursday & Friday nightshift (20:00-8:00)
Post 4. Monday nightshift (20:00- 8:00) & Friday dayshift (8:00- 20:00)
Contract of employment is permanent and holiday pay is 5.6 weeks pro-rata.
