Reporting to: Direct Payment Employer

Location: Elswick, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Hours of work: 3 hours per week, on Tuesdays, with shifts from 08:00 to 11:00 or 18:00 to 21:00 on a rota basis

Rate of pay: £13.95 per hour

Hello, I’m Kate, a 33-year-old powerchair user, seeking a passionate, proactive female personal assistant. The role involves assisting with personal care, including showers, toileting, and transfers (using a hoist—full training provided), as well as helping with shopping trips, dog walks, and household tasks.

You must be comfortable with dogs, as I have a Canine Partner assistance dog, and be willing to help with cleaning up after her. I currently live in temporary accommodation in Elswick and plan to move in the future.

I enjoy spending time in my polytunnel, walking my dog, and exploring art. If you are proactive, quick-thinking, calm, and enjoy outdoor activities, we will work well together.

This role supports my independence and aims to make each day productive and enjoyable.
