Rates of pay: £14.50 per hour weekdays, and £15.50 per hour weekends.
Hours: Part time, 80 hours per month plus the option to work overtime.
Week One - 21 hours
Monday: 15.00-20.00
Tuesday: 8.00-16.00
Week Two - 17 hours
Tuesday: 16.00-20.00
Saturday: 9.00-18.00

Personal Assistant for a 22-year-old woman with learning disability and additional health needs.
I am a delightful young lady who enjoys swimming, trips, walks, music, dancing, books, and jigsaws. I attend a club for young adults with additional needs (WeCan) on Saturdays. I communicate non-verbally using gestures, facial expressions, a VOCA (Voice Output Communication Aid), and symbols. I have physical disabilities and need full support with personal care, feeding, and mobility. I attend college Monday-Thursday and Friday, and an activity centre with care staff on Tuesday and Wednesday. On weekends, I enjoy outings with my care staff.
We’re looking for a caring, compassionate, and committed person (female) to join our team. We are based in Wylam, Northumberland NE41, a 20-minute drive from Newcastle with good rail/bus links.
UK driving licence is essential to use the Motability car.
Knowledge and qualifications:
Experience working with people with communication needs is preferred, or willingness to train (training provided).
The ideal candidate would be motivated, positive, patient, have strong communication skills, be caring, trustworthy, respectful, able to take direction, and committed to the role.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently, following guidance from the Team Leader.
