Are you a dynamic and motivated PE Teacher who's passionate about empowering girls through sport and fitness? A well-established secondary school in Essex is looking for a full-time, Female Teacher of PE to join their team from September 2025.

Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to inspire confidence, develop skills, and foster a love of physical activity in every student you teach. The school promotes a culture of high achievement and wellbeing, with excellent facilities, strong pastoral support, and a collaborative staff environment.

You'll deliver a broad PE curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, lead extra-curricular sport opportunities, and help students build not just physical strength, but resilience and teamwork.

You'll be well-supported in your role, and receive a salary in line with the MPS/UPS (Fringe) scale. Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply and will benefit from tailored mentoring and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver inclusive and engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Promote fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students
  • Lead or support extra-curricular sports clubs and fixtures
  • Plan and assess learning effectively to track student progress
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and motivation in class and on the field
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support school-wide initiatives and events

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in Physical Education
  • Strong understanding of inclusive PE teaching practices
  • Experience in delivering PE to secondary-aged students
  • Passion for sport and empowering young women
  • ECTs welcome and supported with a structured induction programme
