Female* Housing Assistant

We have a new and exciting opportunity available for a Female Housing Assistant to join our team based in Bristol. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours & on call rota. The salary offered is a Point 12 £27,711 per annum, along with benefits.

We provide high and medium level supported housing to single homeless women with complex needs aged 22 and over. This service has been commissioned by Bristol City Council.

About The Role

As our Housing Assistant, you will be part of a dedicated housing team within our supported housing service at Missing Link. Your responsibility will be to deliver a high-quality housing management service and oversee the accommodation provided as part of our services.

• Providing accommodation and housing-related support to women with complex needs in shared supported accommodation

Key Duties And Responsibilities:

• Ensuring we provide safe, high-standard homes by overseeing repairs, health and safety checks, and liaising with landlords and contractors
• Supporting women to meet their financial responsibilities by following organisational rent and arrears procedures
• Ensuring quick void turnarounds to keep rooms available for new service users
• Working closely with support teams to help residents understand and meet their tenancy obligations

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with individuals with mental health needs or complex needs such as homelessness, substance dependency, or domestic abuse is desirable
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards
• Ability to maintain hope and optimism for individuals’ recovery
• Effective documentation and time management skills
• Current, full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel throughout Bristol is required
