Job description
Overview

This role is for a Healthcare Assistant at Rhodes Wood Hospital in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, providing care for children and young people aged 8–18 years with eating disorders who require residential care. The role involves working on tailored treatment programmes designed for the individual needs of each young person, using your knowledge and skills to support recovery and help them lead a valued and fulfilled life.

Main duties
  • Join an inclusive and supportive team to provide care to young people with eating disorders.
  • Participate in ward rounds, analyze behaviours, and adapt care with colleagues.
  • Update patient records and provide general care and support, including assistance with personal hygiene as required.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance in a challenging environment.

Job details

Shift pattern: 12.5 hours per day, 3–4 days a week including nights and weekends.

Location

Rhodes Wood Hospital, Shepherds Way, Hatfield AL9 6NN. There is an on-site Ofsted Registered School to support continued education while in hospital. Rhodes Wood Hospital is on the outskirts of Hatfield, easily reachable by car.
