We are looking for a kind, understanding, patient, and supportive person to support our 8-year-old daughter. Experience would be beneficial; however, bespoke training will be provided for the right individuals. You must have a good level of fitness to meet the demands of a very active little girl.
Routines are extremely important to support our daughter; however, we would like our new PA to bring new experiences and activities to the role.
The PA will help support our daughter in slowly working towards attending outdoor activities to develop her social and independence skills. Parents will plan the activities, including walks, playing in the park, beach visits, shopping, and activities by support groups, which will be accompanied by me until Asiya is comfortable with the new PA.
Our daughter uses picture boards to communicate and an app-based picture board. It is essential you can be calm and gentle to create a strong and trusting bond.
Our daughter needs constant supervision at all times. You will be working alongside an additional PA, especially on outings. Our daughter uses a wheelchair when outside the house because of sensory difficulties, but during activities when safe and secure, she would want to be out of the wheelchair exploring.
