Job summary

Nottinghamshire Women's Aid Ltd seeks a domestic abuse support worker to deliver specialist support to women in crisis. You will provide survivor-led assistance addressing housing, financial, and emotional needs, while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a responsive service. This role is pivotal in running drop-in services and facilitating the Freedom Programme.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting women affected by domestic abuse.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies.
  • Understanding of safeguarding needs.

Job description

Salary£25,628 per annum, pro rata for part time

Purpose of post

To provide specialist domestic abuse support to women who live within the NWAL geographical boundaries and want support. Support will be survivor led and will involve emotional and practical support in regards to the impact created by the abuse. This could include housing, financial and safeguarding needs etc.

The post holder will work closely with the service user, colleagues and partner agencies to ensure a co-ordinated response to women’s support needs.

In addition, the post holder will also contribute to the provision of drop-in services for women in the Districts and respond to women presenting to the service in crisis. The post holder will also be asked to contribute to the running of the Freedom Programme across the NWAL area.
