Overview

CSW/PA for a friendly, sociable young lady with learning disabilities. You must be active and like the outdoors, supporting at home, and during activities and outings. A second carer will support during outings. This is a very rewarding role supporting a young person who likes to share in activities and experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality and responsive support for a young adult with additional needs, including autism.
  • Support the young person at home, during activities, and during outings, including outdoor activities.
  • Be active and able to keep up with an active young lady; a second carer will assist during outings.
Qualifications
  • British Sign Language Level 1 or above. Although further study is not a requirement, funding can be provided to study BSL Level 2 or 3, including 2 hours for study per week. The young person is hearing and has good understanding but uses BSL.
  • Experience in providing high quality and responsive support for young adults with additional needs, including autism.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle; we live in a rural area close to the A1.
  • At time of starting employment, permission to work in the U.K.
  • Female applicants only as some personal care.
  • There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be male/female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 - 4.
