Female Waking Night Children’s Residential Care Support Worker
We're after a supportive and compassionate woman with the confidence to be assertive when needed. You'll be working waking nights in a therapeutic and secure home for young women who may at times present challenging behaviour and have complex emotional needs. This role calls for someone who can really connect with young people and provide a steady, reassuring presence throughout the night.

SALARY: £31,200 per annum + Benefits
LOCATION: Brockley, London (SE4)
JOB TYPE: Full-Time and Part-Time Permanent Positions Available
WORKING HOURS: 4 x 8.30 - 8.30 Night Shift and 1 Day Shift Alternating Thursdays
JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Female Waking Night Children’s Residential Care Support Worker who is compassionate, dedicated, and want to make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable young women in care. The role can be challenging at times, but massively rewarding, as young women flourish.
The organisation work with young women (gender-inclusive) between the ages of 8 – 18 with autism and complex emotional needs, who can present with challenging behaviours such as self-harming and suicidal ideation.
As the Female Waking Night Children’s Residential Care Support Worker you will support young women who have varied mental health challenges with complex trauma. Self-reflection and an awareness of the impact of secondary trauma are essential to this role.
Working as the Female Waking Night Children’s Residential Care Support Worker you will help the young women develop independent living skills such as shopping, budgeting, washing clothes, cooking, attending professional appointments, leisure activities, etc.
As a successful candidate it is essential that you have experience and knowledge in relational working with complex trauma, and you must have experience working as a mental health support worker with young people.
