Job summary

Advance Housing & Support Ltd is seeking a Female Casual Support Worker to assist customers with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs in Warwickshire. The role offers zero contracted hours and flexible scheduling, with driving required and mileage paid.

Training and development support are included to help you start and grow a rewarding career in social care. You don’t need prior care experience; values and commitment to making a difference matter most.

Qualifications

• Good at working on your own and within a team.
• Excellent at communicating with people.
• Able to complete quality support records.
• Able to work every other weekends.
• Ability to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records.
• Need to be literate and numerate in English.
• Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
• Medication administration (if required)
• Support with preparing and cooking meals
• Support with attending medical appointments
• Support with social activities
• Support with independent skills
• Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
• Keeping up to date with your training
• Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night
• Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
• Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety
