Job summary

Avant Healthcare is seeking a Female Care Worker to cover clients in Hounslow (TW7). The role is zero hours with opportunities for guaranteed hours in some cases, and long shifts of up to 12 hours.

You will assist with transfers using a hoist, dressing, meals, appointments, and daily schedules, provide occasional physiotherapy exercises, and maintain a clean, safe home environment while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Care experience with at least 1 year is preferred.
• Good written and spoken English is required.
• Ability to assist with transfers and daily living tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transferring a client using a hoist.
• Assist with dressing and getting the client ready for appointments.
• Shopping and cooking duties as part of daily care.
• Manage appointments and daily schedules.
• Provide daily physiotherapy exercises as directed.
• Care for a bed-bound client and maintain safety.
• Operate with a breathing device during night shifts.
• Keep the environment clean and active around the home.
• Long shift care calls, up to 12 hours.

Avant Healthcare is a domiciliary care provider that places care and support workers with families who require their services in their local community. We are looking for Care and support workers with compassion and kindness.

Below are the customer's requirements and expectations:

• Are you physically fit to transfer a client who is 6 feet tall and weighs about 70 kg (Approx)? He has no movement from the neck down, so he will need to be transferred using the Hoist machine.
• Carers need to be prepared to dress the client and get him ready for his hospital and GP appointments
• Shopping and cooking are involved; the carer needs to be prepared to cook meals.
• Carer needs to manage his appointments and daily schedules and always stay on top of this.
• You are required to provide physiotherapy exercises to the customer once a day
• Customer is completely bed-bound.
• Customer requires a breathing device during night shifts.
• Customer requires a clean environment, would like to have the carer to always be active around the house.
• Care calls are long hours. We can provide you with up to 12 hours shift
