Extra Care units offer residents their own self-contained living space within a larger building, with access to care staff who are based within the unit and who provide care to each resident. As a care assistant at our Extra Care Unit, you will be supporting residents, who all have varying needs to live as independently as possible, with personalised care and support plans in place.
Every client's needs are different. You may assist with housework, help with getting up in the morning, prepare meals, provide companionship, assist with medication, or help with washing and dressing. Our carers become friends, providing human company, encouragement, and sometimes a laugh when life is tough. Caring can be challenging, but it's rewarding to support families and individuals in need.
