Job summary

Cera Care is hiring a community carer in Castle Douglas and surrounding areas. You will visit clients in their own homes to help with personal care, meals and medications, needing a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

We offer flexible shifts across mornings, days, evenings and nights, with every other weekend off and support through our tech-enabled platform to reduce admin tasks and improve client outcomes.

Qualifications

• No prior healthcare experience required; friendly, caring mindset is valued.
• Willingness to learn and develop in community care roles.
• Ability to work independently in clients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, medication, and meals in their own homes.
• Travel between client visits to provide consistent, in-home care.

The Role:

Supporting clients in Penrith, Stainton, Mungrisdale, Glenridding, Patterdale and surrounding areas, this is a community-based role, where you will assist with personal care, medication, and meals, visiting people in their own homes and travelling between client visits. For this role, a driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.

Registration:

In Scotland, all care staff register with the SSSC. You must maintain registration and work towards your SVQ2 (funded by Cera; SVQ registration fee payable by employee).
