Job description

Our multi-award-winning organisation is looking to recruit a Female Care and Support Worker to join our Retirement Living Service. The role of Care and Support Worker is based on a rota basis which may include evening and weekend shifts. This is a pivotal position to help ensure our residents live a meaningful life and feel involved within their community.

The role involves delivering Care Services within our Retirement Living Service to high standards.

This post is for an average of 37.5 hours per week on a 3-week rolling rota, including alternate weekend work.

Shift patterns are as follows:

  • Week 1 - 6.45am to 2.30pm
  • Week 2 - 1.30pm to 9.30pm
  • Week 3 - 9am to 4.00pm

There is a genuine occupational reason under the Sex Discrimination Act 1974 that the person for this role must be female.

What you will be doing

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a Care and Support Worker in our friendly and dedicated team. You will:

  • Assist residents with personal care, meal preparation, and domestic tasks
  • Implement and monitor care & support plans tailored to individual needs of tenants
  • Contribute to building community spirit through participating, encouraging, enabling, and facilitating social events for diverse tenants
Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (Desirable, not essential)
  • Have previous experience in a care or health setting
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work shifts, including weekends and evenings
