Support worker for a lady with Autism - Up to 20 hours per week - £13.38per/hour

Are you caring, creative, and experienced with Autism? Do you love animals, crafts, and making a real difference in someone’s life? If so – we want to hear from you!
We’re on the lookout for a warm, friendly Female Care / Support Worker to join one of our small teams in the Lichfield area. You’ll be supporting our client with Autism to live a full and independent life in her own home as well as in the local community. You’ll support with clinical tasks and provide companionship at our clients own pace whilst having a good understanding when they need to rest.
If you’ve got experience with Autism, are comfortable around pets (cats and guinea pigs!) and looking for a role to make a difference we’d love to hear from you!

Here at Salvere Support we support individual clients in their own homes. Our small teams of Personal Assistants provide bespoke, person centered care to really make a difference in our clients lives. You’ll only be working with one client which enables you to truly get to know them and make a meaningful difference each day!
**A car driver for this role is preferable but not essential.**
Hours: Variable (Up to 20 hours per week)
*Week 1: Wednesday 11:30am -7pm and 11:30-7pm on one other week day.
*Week 2: Monday. Thursday 11:30 start (with a variable 3:30 or 7pm finish), Saturday 11:30-7pm, Sunday 12-4pm

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.
Who we are looking for:
You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with experience of :

  • An understanding of autism (essential).
  • Complex Care, particularly Stoma Care.
  • Supporting with personal care. (Essential).
  • Supporting clients with their hobbies and interests (baking, animals, crafting etc) and accompanying them whilst out in the community.
  • Household tasks /support with additional relevant tasks (picking up medication etc) and prepare activities whilst the client rests

You should also have:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
