Job Title: Housing Breach of Contract Fee Earner

Location: Manchester or Liverpool

The Role

You will be a vital part of an established department, employing high-quality case management processes. We value commitment to effective case conduct and proactive management. Your role involves enforcing settlement agreements and ensuring repairs are carried out post-disrepair settlement. Advocacy experience and team management skills are advantageous, especially for those from litigation backgrounds like personal injury or credit hire.

Main Responsibilities (not exhaustive)
  • Represent the firm professionally and proactively
  • Use robust processes to manage cases and conduct client reviews
  • Provide high standards of client care
  • Liaise with clients and ensure work is completed
  • Arrange property inspections
  • Take witness statements as needed
  • Draft Part 8 proceedings and breach applications
  • Coordinate with Counsel and prepare instructions
  • Undertake telephone hearings if experienced
  • Potentially manage a team
  • Comply with the Solicitors Code of Conduct
  • Share best practices and legal updates with colleagues
  • Coordinate tasks and manage caseloads
  • Engage in self-development and legal updates
  • Identify system improvements
  • Perform other duties as required
