Physics World is seeking a Features Editor to join our journalism team on a permanent basis. You will devise, commission and edit feature, careers and book-review articles, managing the full process from idea to publication online and in print.

You will work with high-profile academics, industry leaders and freelancers, with opportunities to contribute to our podcast, social media and newsletter programme. A physics background and strong science communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Degree in physics or related discipline, preferably to PhD level.
• Science communication experience.

Responsibilities

• Devise, commission and edit feature, careers and book-review articles.
• Manage the editorial process from idea to final publication online and in print.
• Collaborate with high-profile academics, industry leaders and freelancers.
