Volunteer Art Class Host
Location: Stainbeck Church, Leeds
Commitment: Tuesdays 10am-12noon
Compensation: Volunteer (travel and printing expenses covered)

Role Summary:
Stainbeck Church is looking for a friendly, organised, and creative volunteer to host a community-based art class. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about the arts and community engagement. The host will play a key role in shaping the art sessions, supporting participants, and ensuring the smooth running of the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the group to plan and schedule art class sessions
  • Prepare and print worksheets, instructions, or reference materials for each activity
  • Set up and tidy the space before and after each session
  • Manage the "Pay As You Feel" donations collected during sessions
  • Allocate funds between art materials, refreshments, printing/travel expenses, and church venue hire
  • Monitor and track expenses, ensuring transparency and sustainability
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants of all abilities and backgrounds

Skills & Qualities:

  • Passion for art and creativity (no formal qualifications required)
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Friendly, approachable, and inclusive in working with a diverse group
  • Basic budgeting or cash-handling experience is helpful
  • Self-motivated and reliable

Support Provided:

  • Travel and printing costs reimbursed
