Job summary

Contechs is seeking a Feature Integration Engineer for a contract role in the UK, based at Gaydon. The engineer will oversee that software feature content for a vehicle programme is clearly defined, delivered and signed off, coordinating with Marketing, Programme Management and Vehicle teams to align offerings with technical domains and readiness for deployment and testing.

Responsibilities include reporting status, organizing feature demonstrations, and managing risks and plans for new features

Qualifications

• Good understanding of software/feature integration and systems engineering principles.
• Experience in planning and integration of complex electrical and software systems in automotive or similar discipline.
• Experience of leading engineering product delivery using project management techniques;
• Proven ability to interpret and use technical data along with business skills for decision-making
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - able to collaboratively influence across all business functions and at different levels;
• Competent user of Microsoft Office software applications - Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc

Responsibilities

• Oversee that the software feature content for a vehicle programme is defined, delivered and signed-off.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Programme Management and Vehicle teams to align feature offering.
• Manage feature design specification development and readiness for deployment and testing.
• Report status via consolidated reports and organise feature demonstrations.
• Identify risks and plans for new features and liaise with feature owners.
