Our client in Irvine, CA is looking for an FEA Engineer. This is a contract position.
Responsibilities:
Understand simulation-driven design workflows across diverse physics-based domains (Structural/CFD, and/or Multiphysics) within the organization.
Effectively apply AI/ML techniques and physics-based AI algorithms to simulation models, improving design cycle times for accelerated innovation.
Apply ROM (Reduced Order Modeling) for accelerating the simulation outcome.
Utilize state-of-the-art optimization software to achieve design objectives within diverse constraints.
Devise new methods, enhance existing workflows, and establish best practices for the effective incorporation of AI/ML techniques in design decision processes.
Foster collaboration across diverse teams, actively engaging in gathering requirements, defining strategic approaches, and effectively communicating project outcomes to propel collective success.
Qualifications:
Possess a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with hands-on experience in utilizing simulations to solve real-world challenges.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant simulation expertise, showcasing proficiency in simulation tools such as ANSYS, Altair, COMSOL, or similar software. Solid knowledge in solid mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluidics.
Comprehensive understanding of optimization algorithms, design exploration, and design of experiments with practical experience using tools like OptiSlang (ANSYS), Hyperstudy (Altair), and/or modeFrontier (ESTECO).
At least one year experience in applying AI/ML, surrogate modeling, and deep learning techniques.
Proven record of successful collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams, effectively communicating results to extract necessary information.
Experience with CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent is a plus.
