Job description

Brockenhurst College is seeking new governors to join its Corporation Board and support the continued development of a high‑performing, inclusive further education provider.

Based in the New Forest, the College delivers a broad and ambitious curriculum to over 8,000 learners annually, spanning A Levels, vocational studies, apprenticeships, adult education, higher education and community learning. With strong employer partnerships and a clear focus on progression into employment or further study, the College plays a central role in supporting individuals and the wider regional economy.

The Board is now looking to appoint skilled and committed individuals who can bring strategic insight, challenge and support across the following areas:

• Chair of the Quality & Curriculum Committee
• Chair of the Strategy, Governance & Search Committee
• Co‑opted governor to support either the Audit or Resources Committee

The College welcomes applications from individuals with senior‑level experience in education, governance or leadership roles, as well as those from the private or public sector who can demonstrate strong strategic thinking and the confidence to operate at board level.

With a collaborative and engaged Board culture, governors are encouraged to play an active role in College life, working closely with senior leaders and contributing to the ongoing success and ambition of the organisation.
