Octopus Energy Group is seeking an FCA Compliance Manager for a temporary 12-15 month contract in London, focusing on ensuring compliance with FCA regulations. We are looking for a FCA Compliance Manager who can help us deliver our mission to make it seamless for individuals and businesses to transition to zero-carbon driving.
This is a temporary contract for a minimum of 12 months covering one of the existing team as they head off on maternity leave. There will be a period of handover with the existing manager so that you can get up-to-speed with their responsibilities. You’ll also be helping us to support the business to grow by getting stuck into existing team priorities and projects.
You will report to the Head of Risk and Compliance (SMF16) and work with a team of five Risk, Compliance and Financial Crime Managers and Analysts.
The role requires an experienced FCA compliance professional with a solid understanding of the FCA regime, the regulatory landscape and financial services legislation. A consumer credit background as well as a strong understanding of SM&CR is preferred, but candidates will be considered from any financial services background.
In addition, the role requires someone who is comfortable feeding into and delivering against a compliance plan, working both independently and as part of a team, as well as someone detail focused and capable of building good working relationships as part of a second line function, in a business that is rapidly scaling. This is a fast paced environment and one allowing lots of opportunity for growth if you’re prepared to get stuck in.
The role is hybrid and you’ll be expected in the London office at least 1 day a week, with occasional trips required to other regional offices (currently Weybridge and Brighton).
