North Star is seeking a Fast Rescue Craft Coxswain for its ERRV fleet, with a start date of various. You will take charge of Rescue Craft and its crew upon launch, subject to Masters orders. Candidates must hold valid OPITO FRC Coxswain and OPITO ITSO certificates.

The role includes maintenance, engine checks, reporting defects to the Chief Engineer and Master, and on-deck duties. A competitive salary with 28 days on/off rotation, a contributory pension and access to our Employee Assistance

• OPITO FRC Coxswain and OPITO ITSO certificates are required.

Responsabilités

• Take charge and command of Rescue Craft and its crew upon launch, subject to Masters orders.
• General upkeep and local repairs of Fast Rescue Craft / Daughter Craft.
• Run up FRC engines to ensure they operate.
• Report all FRC / DC defects to the Chief Engineer and Master, liaising with both regarding general upkeep of craft.
• General on deck daytime duties, as directed by the Chief Mate.
• Form part of the vessel fire fighting team.
• Monitor safe working practices of shore contractors during maintenance periods.

Fast Rescue Craft Coxswain Is Responsible For The Following

• Taking charge and command of Rescue Craft and its crew upon launch, subject to Masters orders.
• General upkeep and local repairs of Fast Rescue Craft / Daughter Craft.
• Running up FRC Engines to ensure they operate
• Reporting all FRC / DC defects to the Chief Engineer and Master, and liaising with both regarding general upkeep of craft.
• General on deck daytime duties, as directed by the Chief Mate.
• Form part of the vessel fire fighting team.
• Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance.
