YOURS in Castleford is seeking a customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our passionate team. You will greet customers, promote our fashion range, handle till transactions, replenish stock and keep the shop clean and welcoming.

The ideal candidate is friendly, motivated, a strong team player, adaptable to busy periods, with experience in face-to-face customer service and knowledge of High Street fashion. Competitive hourly pay (£12.90) and flexible hours offer a great start in retail.

Qualifications

• A warm, friendly and engaging personality is essential.
• Highly motivated with energy to succeed.
• Proven ability to work well within a team and use own initiative.
• Adaptable to frequent change and high-pressure environment; you will need to work hard and smart.
• Experience in a customer service role with face-to-face contact is highly desirable.
• Experience in a retail environment with a quality brand is desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge and understanding of High Street fashion.

Responsibilities

• Optimise sales and individual customer purchases.
• Engage the customer by delivering a first class customer service.
• Operate till and handle financial transactions.
• Replenish stock with our fantastic products and specialist brands.
• Assist with deliveries and stock handling on a regular basis.
• Undertake cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Ensure compliance with all company procedures.
• Take responsibility for personal development and actively seek opportunities for improvement.
• Responsible for Health and Safety.
