Job summary

Shropshire Council is recruiting a Farming & Nature Hub Coordinator to lead the development and piloting of a Farming and Nature Hub for the Shropshire Hills landscape. The 18-month development phase may lead to an eight-year delivery phase from 2029, in partnership with National Trust and others.

The role focuses on building trusted relationships with farmers and land managers, planning events and workshops, and promoting knowledge sharing, practical support, and access to funding to advance

Qualifications

• Experience building trusted relationships with farmers and land managers.
• Experience planning events, visits and workshops for partners/audiences.
• Strong communication and promotion skills, including websites and social media.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and piloting of the Farming & Nature Hub for the Shropshire Hills Landscape Connections project.
• Coordinate with partners (National Trust, Shropshire Wildlife Trust, Severn Rivers Trust) and stakeholders.
• Support knowledge sharing, practical support, and access to funding to promote regenerative agriculture and nature recovery.
