  • The Opportunity: A well-established, RCVS-accredited farm practice just outside the historic city of York is seeking a Farm Veterinary Surgeon to join its cohesive five-vet team.
  • The Role: The successful candidate will be a confident, collaborative professional capable of managing a varied caseload, predominantly beef and sheep with some dairy, camelid and export work.
About the Practice

Founded in 2000, the practice provides a livestock-focused service while supporting smallholdings, open farms and owners of companion farm animals. The experienced veterinary team—many with specialist certificates—offers in-depth advice on everything from parasitology to advanced fertility work. Their commitment to the profession includes regular contributions to farming media, international conference presentations, and training future generations of farm vets.

The Role
  • Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Rota: one night per week and one weekend in five on call (with a day off in lieu)
