FARM OPERATIVE

ARABLE WORKER

LOUTH, LINCOLNSHIRE

OTE £35K - £40K (7:30 - 16:00 Mon - Thu, 7:30 - 15:00 Fri + overtime)

Are you an experienced Agricultural/Farm Operative or Farm Labourer seeking an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, family-owned farm located on the outskirts of Louth?

We are looking for a Farm Worker with extensive experience in crop cultivation and grain drying.

As a key team member, reporting directly to the Farm Manager, you will oversee daily operations on this 1400-acre arable farm. Your expertise, especially as an experienced Farm Labourer, will enable you to manage tasks efficiently and contribute to the farm's ongoing success. This is a fantastic chance to bring your skills to an established farm and make a meaningful impact.

Please note, working long hours during harvest season is essential, and your commitment will be rewarded.

Key Responsibilities of the Farm Worker

• Operate machinery such as tractors, telehandlers, and chainsaws
• Perform machinery servicing and repairs
• Apply fertilisers, cut hedges, and carry out cultivation tasks (crops include wheat, barley, and oilseed rape)
• Manage grain drying processes
• Assist with ad hoc farm maintenance activities, including minor property repairs, hedge trimming, and boundary maintenance

Personal Specification for Farm Worker

• Organised, able to work independently using initiative
• Honest and trustworthy
• Keen to work overtime, especially during harvest season
• Skilled and careful machine operator
• Valid driving license with excellent driving skills
