Job Title: Farm Manager

Area: Norfolk

Salary: Excellent rates of pay comes with Accommodation!!!

Job Type: Full-time, Perm

Galaxy Personnel is working with a well-established farming business to recruit a Farm Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in livestock or poultry farming.

Key Duties:

1. Maintain bird health, welfare, compliance and monitoring performance.
2. Monitor and motivate staff.
3. Setting up and maintenance of site equipment.
4. Attend day old and brood and move deliveries and vaccinate where required.
5. Supervise catching.
6. Check weight of birds as required.
7. Administer routine vaccines and appropriate treatments where required.
8. Monitor feed, gas, bedding and wood pellet deliveries.

Essential Skills And Experience Required:

1. Previous experience with livestock, preferably at Assistant Farm Manager Level.
2. Good communicator.
3. Ability to accurately record and understand farm information.
4. Team player.
5. Good organiser.
6. Flexible approach to working.

Desirable:

1. Good understanding and experience of all aspects of poultry production.
2. Excellent understanding of bird welfare issues including a sound knowledge of Red Tractor and RSPCA Assured production.
3. Tractor driving experience.
4. Tele handler training.
5. Pa1 Pa6 Pesticide Training.

Qualifications:

1. Level 3 WDBA or NVQ qualification in poultry production.
2. UK Driving license.
