Job description

Apple Farm Manager
Covering farms across Kent
Circa 60,000 plus 4wd vehicle & mobile phone

If you would like to manage a successful, quality driven, innovative, environmentally focused and very successful apple farming arm of a broader fruit farming business with strong values, this is the ideal role for you.

Duties

  1. Support the Head of Fruit Farms in achieving targets
  2. Continuously review and manage employee performance and farm data
  3. Work towards fulfilling personal and team KPIs
  4. Analyse working practices, suggesting areas for improvement
  5. Lead and manage a team of full-time and seasonal workers throughout the season
  6. Ensure machinery is maintained to high standards and to health & safety criteria
  7. Ensure accurate data collection and reporting for payroll & HR

Essential criteria
  1. Possess an agricultural qualification and/or have worked in this environment for at least 5 years
  2. Have exceptional written & verbal communication skills
  3. Be used to managing a multi-cultural workforce
  4. Have strong IT & reporting skills
  5. Be focused on CPD
