Farm Manager | Staffordshire

Our client, a well-established family-owned farm specialising in parsnip and carrot production, is seeking a Farm Manager to oversee their operations in Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Farm Manager looking to step up, or a Farm Manager seeking a fresh challenge within a successful and growing business.

Position Overview

As Farm Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of crop production, from planting and irrigation to crop management and harvesting. Working closely with the Farm Director, you will play a key role in implementing efficient and sustainable farming practices while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage the day-to-day farm operations to optimise productivity
  2. Oversee planting, irrigation, crop care, and harvesting
  3. Lead and motivate a team of 10+ employees
  4. Work closely with the Farm Director to develop and implement sustainable farming practices
  5. Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and industry best practices

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in farm management, ideally within fresh produce
  2. Strong knowledge of root vegetable production
  3. A confident leader with the ability to manage and develop a team
  4. Passion for agriculture and a desire for long-term career growth
  5. Degree within Agriculture / Crop Management or a related field (preferred)
