Job description

We have a new and exciting contract vacancy for a highly experienced and conscientious individual to work alongside the owner carrying out tractor work, along with stockwork, on a diverse farm near Beaminster in Dorset.

The farm forms part of a larger farming business comprising two 300-cow dairies, arable, beef and sheep. The role will centre around supporting the owner with staff management, fieldwork (all operations for dairy and arable carried out in house) relief feeding and general stock work, with occasional relief milking and yard work as required. The farm has a modern well maintained machinery fleet comprising mainly New Holland tractors, self-propelled sprayer, forage harvester and combine.

We seek a self-starter, looking for responsibility and autonomy for this very varied and flexible role which would suit someone with a real passion for livestock, but who also likes the variation with skilled tractor work; a telehandler certificate is essential. Experience and an interest in both livestock and machinery are essential as is a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
