Job summary

A leading aquaculture company is seeking a dedicated On-Water Maintenance crew member to ensure the maintenance of feeding equipment while working closely with the Hobart control room. This physically demanding role requires a strong work ethic and a readiness to perform tasks on the water. Ideal candidates will have a keen interest in fish farming, although experience is not mandatory. The position follows a 4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off roster, providing a unique work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of fish farming and record keeping is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake routine maintenance on Feed related equipment.
  • Ensure cameras are in spread and winches are operational.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a member of our On-Water Maintenance crew, you will work closely with our Hobart based Control Room to undertake all routine maintenance on our Feed related equipment. This includes ensuring cameras are in spread, winches are in good working order, reporting any predator activity or unusual fish behavior to the control room, responding to control room requests, and attending to other lease maintenance and monitoring as required.

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong work ethic
  • Physically fit and comfortable working out on the water
  • Experience in a similar role or an understanding of Fish farming and record keeping is (desirable but not essential)

This position operates on a 4 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off roster and is located within our Southern Region near Dover TAS.

LICENCES

  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Coxswains’ ticket (desired but not essential)
