Job description

Are you someone with pig or poultry experience looking for a fresh challenge? With at least two years experience working on a commercial farm and a strong commitment to animal welfare, this could be the perfect role for you.

As a Farm Assessor, you'll step away from the day-to-day demands of farm work, while staying connected to the industry. Enjoy a structured Monday to Friday schedule, regional travel, and the satisfaction of using your experience to make a real impact on animal welfare, without being tied to the farm.

In this role, you’ll carry out assessments of pig and poultry farms, ensuring they meet high welfare standards. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of farmers, providing feedback and guidance to help them achieve best practices.

We are seeking candidates based in Norfolk.

The role:

  • Travel – Extensive travel
  • Assessments – Conduct thorough farm assessments in adherence to the assurance scheme.

  • Unannounced monitoring visits – conduct unannounced monitoring visits and review corrective actions for compliance.
  • Admin – Schedule assessments, write reports and maintain records

About you:

  • 2 or more years of experience working on a commercial pig or poultry farm
  • UK driving licence
  • Willing to travel extensively
  • Commitment to high welfare standards
  • Poultry experience
  • Based in Norfolk area
